Dr. Navendu Goswami is a Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in Department of Physics & Materials Science & Engineering. Dr. Goswami did his M.Sc. in 1999 followed by Ph.D. in Physics from School of Physical Sciences, JNU, New Delhi. Qualified UGC-CSIR JRF and NET for two times and was among the top 20% CSIR JRF awardees in Physics. During his Ph.D. and afterwards his research area is Nanoscience and Technology. He has supervised diverse Nanotechnology projects at M.Tech. and B.Tech. levels. He published 27 peer-reviewed research papers; 20 in international journals and 7 in conference proceedings. He attended/presented research papers in about 36 international/national conferences, attended 18 scientific workshops and delivered 4 invited talks in India and abroad. Dr. Navendu Goswami is member of Material Research Society (MRS) USA, MRS India, Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Indian Physics Association (IPA), Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). He is Editorial board member and referee for several journals; Journal of Nanoparticle Research, Applied Physics A, International Nano Letters, Applied Surface Science and Materials Chemistry and Physics etc. He is recipient of various academic and teaching awards; to name a few, Chancellor’s Silver Medal and Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal for Topper in all M. Sc. level exams (1999-2000) and in M. Sc. Physics exam (1999-2000) of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi; District Winner (Ghaziabad, U.P.) of Broad Outlook-Learner Teacher (BOLT-2008) award (by Air-India & Dainik Jagran), award for highest marks in Physics at B.Sc. (1996), BBC Genius –1998 and U.P. Government’s ‘A’ category Scholarship etc.

Bonnie Molloy has been studying postoperative visual loss (POVL) and conducting research in this field since 2005. She completed her doctoral dissertation in 2010 in the Development of The Molloy / Bridgeport Anesthesia Associates Observation Scale (MBOS). She presently is the Chief CRNA in the Bridgeport Anesthesia Associates practice at Bridgeport Hospital and as a Yale healthcare affiliate has conducted research at Yale New Haven and the Hospital of St. Raphael. She is the Research Director of the Anesthesia Department at Bridgeport Hospital as well as a clinical and didactic faculty member for the Fairfield University Doctor of Nursing Practice Program.

She was a surgical/anesthesia research team in discussing POVL, Robotics and Cosopt interventions in pursuit of normalizing rising IOP in the ST position.She conducted research in Development of The Molloy / Bridgeport Anesthesia Associates Observation Scale (MBOS) correlating rising intraocular pressure (IOP) to observations in eyelid and conjunctival edema during steep trendelenburg (ST) surgical procedures.

Professor Tyler is a visual neuroscientist specializing in visual and oculomotor function and disorders who joined City University London in 2013. He previously worked at several universities in the United States and has been a long-established researcher at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, San Francisco, where he established its Brain Imaging Center. Christopher Tyler received his training in Experimental Psychology at the Universities of Leicester, Aston and Keele before taking postdoctoral fellowships at Northeastern University, Boston, University of Bristol and Bell Laboratories. He then took up a position at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute, where he retains an affiliation, and has taught courses at Northeastern, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkeley and the University of Paris along the way. He has had widespread collaborations across the globe and has given numerous keynote addresses to scientific meetings across many disciplines, from microscopy to Renaissance art.

Christopher Tyler's scientific interests are in the processes of visual perception and visual neuroscience. He has contributed to the study of the brain processing of many aspects of visual processing, including form, symmetry, flicker, motion, color, and particularly stereoscopic depth perception. He has developed effective psychophysical and electrophysiological tests for the diagnosis of retinal, optic nerve, visual cortical and oculomotor disorders. He has also studied photoreceptor dynamics, and neural processing in other species such as butterflies and fish. His current work is focused on the effects of traumatic brain damage on eye movements and their brainstem control mechanisms.

Doug McCarter, Vice-President and co-Founder, serves as technical integrator and customer liaison. He has worked in and with the petrochemical industry for over 30 years providing troubleshooting expertise on reciprocating equipment as well as supplying custom-machined parts. Since 1999, he has co-authored and authored seven technical papers concerning SCSi processing and its application. Recently, he was designated as a "Senior Member" in SPIE that honors those who have significantly contributed to the optics and photonics community.

Manijeh Razeghi joined Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, as a Walter P. Murphy Professor and Director of the Center for Quantum Devices in fall 1991, where she created the undergraduate and graduate program in solid-state engineering. She is one of the leading scientists in the field of semiconductor science and technology, pioneering in the development and implementation of major modern epitaxial techniques. Her current research interest is in nanoscale optoelectronic quantum devices. She has authored or coauthored more than 1000 papers, more than 30 book chapters, and 16 books. She holds 30 U.S. patents and has given more than 1000 invited and plenary talks. She received the IBM Europe Science and Technology Prize in 1987, the Achievement Award from the SWE in 1995, the R.F. Bunshah Award in 2004 and many best paper awards. Razeghi is an elected fellow of SWE (1995), SPIE (2000), IEC (2003), OSA (2004), APS (2004), IOP (2005), IEEE (2005) and MRS (2008).

Paul Michael Petersen has more than 30 years of research experience in laser physics, nonlinear optics, and optical measuring techniques and he has headed several collaborative research projects within laser physics. Until 1989 he worked in the fields of optical chaos and nonlinear optics in semiconductors. In 1994 he joined the Optics and Fluid Department at Risø National Laboratory. From 2001 until 2007 he was head of Laser Systems and Optical Materials at Risø National Laboratory and in 2008 he became head of research at DTU Fotonik at the Technical University of Denmark. From 2002 to 2012 he was adjunct professor in Optics at the Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen University. In 2011 P.M.Petersen was appointed Full Professor in New Light Sources at DTU Fotonik at the Technical University of Denmark.

Sergey Mirov received Ph.D. in Physics in 1983, from the P. N. Lebedev Physics Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Since 1993, Mirov is a faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Currently, he is a university Professor of Physics at the UAB and director of the Center for Optical Sensors and Spectroscopies. He is a fellow of the Optical Society of America, and member of the American Physics Society, and SPIE. He has authored or co-authored over three hundred ninety scientific publications, has published 1 book, several book chapters, and holds twenty patents.

Vladimir Fal’ko is a condensed-matter theorists, who was responsible for advances in the theory of electronic and optical properties of graphene (including discovery of bilayer graphene, in 2006) and theory of localisation and quantum transport in mesoscopic systems. Educated at Moscow Physical Engineering Institute and the Institute for Solid State Physics RAS, he worked as a research fellow at Max-Planck-Institut in Stuttgart and Oxford University and, now, he holds the post of Distinguished Professor of Condensed Matter Theory at Lancaster University (UK). His current interest includes modelling heterostructures of graphene and other atomically thin two-dimensional crystals, as part of the Horizon2020 European Graphene Flagship Project.

Mahi R Singh received Ph.D. (1976) degrees from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in condensed matter physics. After that he was awarded an Alenxander von Humbold Fellow in Stuttgart University, Germany from 1979 to 1981. Currently, he is Professor in this university. He was a visiting Professor at University of Houston, He also worked as a chief researcher at CRL HITACHI, Tokyo and he was a visiting Professor and Royal Society Professor at University of Oxford, UK. He was the Director of the Centre of Chemical Physics and theoretical physics program at Western. Devki N. Talwar, Indiana U of Pennsylvania (IUP), Chair of Department of Physics, conducts research on optical/electronic properties of defects and phonons in semiconductor materials used for various electronic and opto-electronic devices. He has been with Indiana U of Pennsylvania (IUP), Department of Physics, for almost 27 years and is the author of more than 120 refereed journal articles, 3 book chapters and review articles. His expertise in the sophisticated Green’s function technique is considered very useful for providing information on the electronic and vibrational properties of defects in semiconductors, quantum wells and superlattices.

Fedor V Kusmart is Vice Head of Physics Department, Loughborough University, Uk. For ten years Kusmartsev has been leading and managing the large multi-stakeholder research consortium – the European Network-Programme “Arrays of Quantum Dots and Josephson Junctions”(AQDJJ). This very large consortium included 75 research teams with very different cross-disciplinary background, from Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Mathematics and Computing Departments of 75 EU universities distributed over 12 EU countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and UK) and have very different cultural, academic and industrial backgrounds. The European Science Foundation assessment reports unanimously stated that the strong success of the AQDJJ consortium work was “due to the leadership of the AQDJJ chairman, Prof Fedor v Kusmartsev”.He is a Member of International Editorial Advisory Boards: journal N1: Advances in Condensed Matter Physics (since 2007); journal N2: Econophysics, New Economy and Complexity (since 2010). Luís António Dias Carlos got his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Évora, Portugal, in 1995 working on photoluminescence of polymer electrolytes incorporating lanthanide salts. Currently, he is Full Professor at the University of Aveiro, Physics Department. Since 2009 he has been the vice-director of the CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials, Portugal (with ca. 420 people, CICECO, http://www.ciceco.ua.pt/, is one of the largest European institute in the Materials and Nano fields). He is member of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences (Physics section) since 2011 and was visiting professor of S. Paulo State University (UNESP), Araraquara, S.P. Brazil (1999, 2012 and 2013), University of Montpellier 2, France (2008). Luís Carlos is co-author of 2 international patents, ca. 370 papers and book chapters with ca. 8900 citations (Hirsch’ index h of 49) and co-guest editor of special issues of the Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology (2010) and of the Journal of Luminescence (2015). He received the Portuguese Science Foundation prize for Scientific Excellence (2004) and a CNPq Special Visiting Researcher Grant, Science Without Borders Program, Brazil (2013).

His current scientific interests include nanothermometry, light emission of functional organic–inorganic hybrids, silicates and nanocrystals, applications of hybrid materials in green photonics (solid-state lighting, luminescent solar concentrators and integrated optics), self-assembly and emergence of complexity in organic/inorganic hybrids, and luminescent/magnetic nanoparticles as new probes for multimodal imaging.

Debesh Choudhury earned his M.Sc.Tech. (optics & optoelectronics) degree in 1989 and Ph.D. (applied optics) degree in 1995 respectively from University of Calcutta and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He served as a scientist at Instruments R&D Establishment, Dehradun, India. He worked at the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, The University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, Japan for postdoctoral research. Presently, he is a professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Neotia Institute of Technology, Management and Science, West Bengal, India. He experienced a variety of research areas in and around signal and image processing, pattern recognition, holography, laser instrumentation, microwave imaging, VLSI circuits and systems. He also handled projects in adaptive optics and imaging through turbulent media. He is an avid user and a promoter of GNU/Linux, free and open source software. He is a senior member of SPIE, member of IEEE, Optical Society of India, Optical Society of America, Indian Laser Association, Instrument Society of India, ACM, FOSET.
